THE RANCH

Our main lodge is located at 9491 Highway 97 East, Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas 78629, approximately 75 miles SE of Austin.  The main lodge consists of 265 acres that is game-fenced, with exotic animals and wild hogs present.  Most hog hunts take place at this location.

When available and when booked in advance, additional ranches located in Gonzales County, Texas and/or Fayette County, Texas can be hunted for a trespass fee of $49/hunter/ranch.  Additional kill fees of $100.00/hog apply, with no additional trophy fees for larger hogs.
The javelina, bobcat, and whitetail deer hunts we offer occur in South Texas near Laredo, which features different ranches ranging in size from 500 to 1500 acres and are both game fenced and free-range hunts.

THE HUNT

Hunts begin at 1:00pm on either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday and each last 46 hours.  Check-out time is at 11:00am on the third day.  All hunts are subject to availability.

Our hog hunts are not fully guided, but rather semi-guided.  This means your guides will drop you off and pick you up from the blinds, pick up your game, and advise you on the best hiding places to find hogs on your spot and stalk. Some hunters prefer to drive their own vehicle to the blind, and this is allowed.
We do offer fully guided hunts for exotics, unless other arrangements are made.
THE GAME

HOGS:  The hogs range in type from wild, feral, domestic to any combination of the three. The ferociousness of these animals varies throughout any given year or season.  Sizes of hogs also vary, ranging from newborn to mature adults of 100+ lbs.  The hog densities are  sufficient for the number of hunters present to take their bag limit.  There is no guarantee of the size of hogs you will shoot as this is a hunt.

VARMINTS: Hunting predators and varmints is an extra activity that is not priced into any package and is provided at no charge.  Varmints include, but are not limited to Bobcat, Coyote, Fox, Possum, Armadillo, Racoon, Rabbit, Ringtail Cat.  There are no guarantees of harvest success with any native predator or varmint.  Success is based on conditions such as weather, time of year, breeding cycles, hunter skill (or lack thereof), and of course, luck.

MEALS

Meals are provided by the ranch staff. The exact menu can vary, but usually includes five (5) meals during your hunt. The meals consist of two (2) dinners of different meats, sides, and non-alcoholic drinks.  For lunch, we serve cold cut sandwiches, chips and a drink. We offer typically two (2) breakfasts, consisting of traditional eggs, gravy, biscuits, and meat. Sometimes, a different hot breakfast is served, such as Mexican tacos or breakfast burritos. On the last morning of the hunt we usually serve a continental breakfast.

LODGING

All hunters will be provided a bunk in the bunkhouse at the lodge on the ranch. If you prefer more privacy, you may upgrade to a private room or a cabin for a surcharge of $37.50 per night, subject to availability.  Such upgrade is based upon a minimum of two (2) nights and the surcharge is for the entire room or cabin, not per person.
